Triple Homicide

Thursday morning police exchanged gunfire with a suspect who barricaded himself in a Far South Side home. The suspect allegedly killed his girlfriend, her father and another relative several miles away in the Englewood neighborhood.
A little before 9:30 a.m., the gunman leaned out of the window of the home on 103rd Union Ave and fired shot, according to the chief policemen.
Police shot back, though majority of the shots was from the offender.
No officers were hurt and it is unclear if the suspect was hit.

Officers are "still trying to get him out peacefully using bullhorns, cellphone, everything," accordingly to Guglielmi said.

A woman and a child were inside of the house but they let go and unharmed and now the suspect is alone.
An armored police vehicle occupied the middle of 103rd Street and an officer could he heard talking through a loudspeaker.
The story of what happened is said to be explained as him walking into the house and putting a gun to his head, threatening to kill himself, officers said. The girlfriends mother, father and another woman were inside the house, and he asked them about his girlfriend, who was in the basement with several children. One of the children belongs to the suspect and his girlfriend.

The suspect made his girfriend, Makeesha Starks, 26, and possible the children, come upstairs before the woman's parents ran from the home, police said.  At some point, the suspect opened fire in the house killing Starks and badly wounding the other woman, Kinara Kinard, also 26, police stated.

Starks was shot in the head and was dead at the scene, while Kinard died later at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after being shot in the back.
The suspect chased after Starks 50 year-old father, Jerome Wright, and shot him in the head, killing him. He then got in the car and left.
Starks mother escaped.
The woman was in so much pain, repeatedly saying "He killed my baby". Relatives and neighbors came to comfort and record.

Father of Tyshawn Lee Charged with recent shootings

Bond for father of 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee's father is denied. Tyshawn Lee, a young child, was shot and killed in November .
Tyshawn Lee's father is charged with the shootings of three people on 79th Ashland.  One victim was the girlfriend of Corey Morgan, one man who was accused in the murder of Tyshawn Lee.

The father is charged with three attempts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors say that he was witnessed on the scene of the shootings carrying a gun. They have eyewitnesses, surveillance video's and his own statement that he was at the scene. The father was already on parole for a gun violation.
Next court date will be April 4th and he's being held without bail.
9-year old Tyshawn Lee
Tyshawn Lee's death was a tragedy, no one should go after a child to get back at their parents. Thats going way and beyond to far. The father of Tyshawn Lee is still suffering as we can see, and most of us doesn't know how he feels because we've never been in this situation. But violence isn't always the answer. Show him you are as strong as him and show him you will be better for him, he's looking over you. Revenge for the killers of Tyshawn will eventually come, they will live a hard life. Thats going to haunt them for the rest of their lives. Im not going to say I understand the pain your going through but I understand you are in pain. Just get out and do better and to help you stay on task dedicate every good thing you do to your son.

Rest In Heaven Little Man(Tyshawn Lee) !

72-Year-Old Woman Wounded In Englewood Shooting

A 72-Year-Old Woman was shot Wednesday evening in the Englewood neighborhood.
Police Officers say the woman was shot shorty before 7 p.m. through the window of her home on the 7200 block of South Sangamon Street. The woman was wounded in the chest, arm and leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital. Happy to say she is in a stable condition.
Additional information about the shooting is witnesses tell officers they heard about four to ten shots coming out of a car. No suspects are charged or in custody.

People just shoot hoping to aim for their target but thats dangerous. This poor woman can't enjoy being in her house without worrying about being shot. The innocent always get hit, everyone knows that nows. Lil Herb, Chicago rapper, has even stated it in his song "Niggas say they see the opps, they spilling 'em, everytime they see the opps they missin' 'em Hit the innocent, go do sentences, we don't play around, lil bro finish 'em" -Retro Flow by Lil Herb.  I brought this into my article because the woma who was shot was a  prime example of what the rapper is talking about. To put the lyrics in a better understanding is "Niggas say when they catch a pop they killing him but always end up missing them People who hit the innocent go to prison and do a prison sentence". This is so true and it's not even funny. Your putting others in danger. People shoot and hit the wrong people and don't even care and they continue to do it.  This has to stop!

Chicago's Gun Violence Is Continuing To Grow

Daily gun violence in Chicago is continuing to grow.
From January to February today their has been over 370 shootings and 70 killings. From Monday to Tuesday at least 5 people have been shot. The week before that about six people were shot and killed and fourteen people were wounded. It seems as if the violence of 2016 will double the violence of 2015 according to the Chicago tribune. Chicago's violence hasn't been this server since 2012.

In 2015 there were about 470 homicides and more that 2,900 people shot. Chicago is now ranked with the most homicides since 2015.
Violence has increased since the shootings of police towards black people. Such as Laquan McDonald, who was shot 16 times.

When will we get the message in our head that violence is out of control and its not going to get any better if we don't start by controlling ourselves. If we continue to do what we do it won't get any better. It's time for change!!

Five-year-old boy calls 911 to report both parents have been shot and killed

"My mommy and daddy got shot"
Thats what the 5-year-old boy said when he called dispatchers in Chattanooga, Tennessee after he witnessed his mom and dad, Lakita Hillard and George Dillard, get murdered.
The 5-year-old also stated "I was still at home and I started crying" then he added "Can you tell the police officers to come ?"

While still on the phone with dispatchers he described the shooting to them, then told dispatchers e was going to watch television until the officers arrived.  The boy was in the house with his two dead parents.
Police do not have any suspects.

This is very heart breaking for this little boy to have to go through this. A 5-YEAR-OLD HAD TO WITNESS HIS PARENTS GET MURDERED! That's terrible. Violence is getting out of hand from the police to us. When is it going to stop ?
People do things without even thinking and thats one of problem. Everyone wants to be a gang banger or a "shooter" but to be honest thats not where its at. Be a lawyer, a doctor, be anything you want to be. But make sure it doesn't hurt anyone or end a life. Nowadays kids can't play real games, its just dodge the bullets. Which is terrible. Imagine what these kids go through.

Its not even just kids who have to worry, its parents to. Parents have to worry about so much, like if there kids will make it home or if they will make it home. This is such a cold hearted world and everyone needs to wake up.

The majority of this is black on black crime. If we were going to start this then what was Martin Luther Kings purpose of doing what he did. He would be so disappointed in us. We're suppose to be a family but you all just want to enemies and wonder why white people look at us differently. Shameful.
